Objectives and description of the duties of the Scientometric office : 1- Study in the field of scientific research ranking of the university and its affiliated research centers 2- Evaluation of researchers (faculty members) of the university using Scientometric indicators 3- Scientific preparation for elite education 4- Reporting the scientific output of the university in different time periods 5- Evaluating the scientific research journals of the university and examining the possibility of indexing them in valid indexes including Scopus and ISI 6- Documenting the indexed articles of university researchers in international indexes 7- Defining and compiling new indicators of Scientometrics at national and international level 8- Examining the scientific status of the departments and research centers of the university 9- Evaluation of the university based on UNESCO output indicators 10- Scientific study of medical fields and the rank of the university at the national level 11- Compiling books in the field of medical information for faculty members 12- Holding workshops and scientific lectures 13- Holding scientific conferences
Research priorities 1- Studying scientific output of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences 2- Comparison of scientific production of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences with other national universities 3- Studying the scientific output of faculty members and university researchers based on h, m, AR, g and ... indices 4- Evaluating the output of new medical fields such as medical informatics and neuroscience at the national level and comparison with countries in the region 5- Outlining the collaborations of Tabriz University of Medical Sciences with other national and international universities 6- Qualitative evaluation of shared electronic resources
